This was odd looking. I gotta wonder if something like this might have caused humans to be bipedal. It'd be interesting if it were. Just one big "Oops" on the evolutionary process. Regardless, it's an odd looking monkey, and kind of interesting.

I'll definitely be trying to see them tomorrow night... as long as it's clear. I'd try tonight, but I have to work in the morning. :-( I rather enjoy astronomical events. I like to stargaze. If you do, too, check this out. You'll at least have an inkling of when the showers should be.

I just thought this was interesting. It shows a trend that I see as rather prevalent... at least where I live, even though this book is from England. I suppose it's also interesting, since I'm one of those people who follow an "alternative spirituality," even though I wouldn't tend to call it that... but that's another issue....

I'm not sure what I was expecting when I looked at this page, but I think I was expecting them to be a little more out there. I mean, about half of those jobs are ones that I'd probably be able to do... or have even considered very seriously. Also, they didn't tell you all that much about the jobs, or how one gets into the field, or really that much about what it entails. Pretty much everyone just said, "I was always interested in it, so I did it." That doesn't really help... but I guess maybe to some, these jobs might seem kind of weird. These people are the ones I would consider too sheltered.

This page was a veritable treasure trove for me... as it would be for any other big fan of Dave Navarro. There are tons of downloads of songs, in mp3 and video formats... of unreleased songs, covers, demos, and the like. And the beauty part is, it's completely legal, because it's on his own website, and managed by the man, himself. Truly awesome. My bandwidth will be thoroughly occupied by this in the days to come.

All this stuff right on the front page of MSN.com today... decades of prominent scientists telling us that we have to change how we relate to the environment, and still, nothing. I can only hope that the generation who has been taught that the environment is in peril will survive long enough to come to power and try to fix things, because there is little hope for at least the next four years in the US. I'm not going to give up, because other people can still be influenced, but this president is an environmental asshole.

This is maddening. I know some people will dispute whether global warming is a result of natural changes or from greenhouse gasses, but the gasses certainly can't be helping, and are certainly causing damage in other ways... to say nothing of reducing the percentage of oxygen in the air. Here, we have evidence that it's actually occuring, and people try to address it with something that might help other problems, as well, and we just write it off. People tick me off, sometimes.
