Smashing Pumpkins to Rock Out Again? Feature Story
This was pretty exciting for me. I really enjoy the Smashing Pumpkins. I'd be excited to see them reunited. I hope it actually happens and really works. I'd like to see them in concert, if I could... but even if not, a few more albums would be pretty cool, too.

This description is just brutal. Granted, they're going to eat the insect afterwards, but this is definitely contrary to the idea that humans are more cruel than other creatures. we're just every bit as cruel as the others. However, what I find really interesting about this article is that many people consider humans the main tool-using creatures, but perhaps that's a limited definition. Since this is modifying their environment, and not something they hold, it seems less like a tool, but that seems like a limiting definition... particularly since ants don't actually have hands. It's a really interesting thing for me. Not sure if anyone else cares, though. ;-)

This is an interesting, if somewhat disturbing site. Personally, I'm not fully inclined to believe everything they're telling me, but it could be a good way to get more information on things you might not hear much about, and your own research could either support or oppose what you findat sites like this. It is important to hear the opinions on other sides of every issue, and this presenst some compelling arguments. I'd say it's worth checking out.

This is a fun browser bar service that helps you find sites you would be interested in based on categories you indicate interest in and your up or down rating of random sites it brings you. The file size is small, the bar is fairly unobtrusive, and it's really easy to use. I've gotten quite a few sites of interest to me from it. I'll be posting some of those as time goes by, as well. Definitely worth checking out.
