MSNBC - Monkey apes humans by walking on two legs
This was odd looking. I gotta wonder if something like this might have caused humans to be bipedal. It'd be interesting if it were. Just one big "Oops" on the evolutionary process. Regardless, it's an odd looking monkey, and kind of interesting.

Anyhow, this was an interesting article. I guess I'm on a bit of a science kick, lately. It was interesting to see this new theory taking shape.

I'll definitely be trying to see them tomorrow night... as long as it's clear. I'd try tonight, but I have to work in the morning. :-( I rather enjoy astronomical events. I like to stargaze. If you do, too, check this out. You'll at least have an inkling of when the showers should be.

I just thought this was interesting. It shows a trend that I see as rather prevalent... at least where I live, even though this book is from England. I suppose it's also interesting, since I'm one of those people who follow an "alternative spirituality," even though I wouldn't tend to call it that... but that's another issue....

I'm not sure what I was expecting when I looked at this page, but I think I was expecting them to be a little more out there. I mean, about half of those jobs are ones that I'd probably be able to do... or have even considered very seriously. Also, they didn't tell you all that much about the jobs, or how one gets into the field, or really that much about what it entails. Pretty much everyone just said, "I was always interested in it, so I did it." That doesn't really help... but I guess maybe to some, these jobs might seem kind of weird. These people are the ones I would consider too sheltered.

This page was a veritable treasure trove for me... as it would be for any other big fan of Dave Navarro. There are tons of downloads of songs, in mp3 and video formats... of unreleased songs, covers, demos, and the like. And the beauty part is, it's completely legal, because it's on his own website, and managed by the man, himself. Truly awesome. My bandwidth will be thoroughly occupied by this in the days to come.

All this stuff right on the front page of MSN.com today... decades of prominent scientists telling us that we have to change how we relate to the environment, and still, nothing. I can only hope that the generation who has been taught that the environment is in peril will survive long enough to come to power and try to fix things, because there is little hope for at least the next four years in the US. I'm not going to give up, because other people can still be influenced, but this president is an environmental asshole.

MSNBC - Study: Arctic warming threatens people, wildlife
This is maddening. I know some people will dispute whether global warming is a result of natural changes or from greenhouse gasses, but the gasses certainly can't be helping, and are certainly causing damage in other ways... to say nothing of reducing the percentage of oxygen in the air. Here, we have evidence that it's actually occuring, and people try to address it with something that might help other problems, as well, and we just write it off. People tick me off, sometimes.

This seems to be a good site. It's unfortunate that I found it so late in the game. They have good detailed voter guides for pagans and those in non-mainstream religions, in general, really. I'll most likely keep checking back with them even after the election, since I've had my political consciousness raised, and I'm still coming at it from the same place.

Steven Waldman on the case for imposing religious views on others. -- Beliefnet.com
This guy tries to make a good argument, but the problem is that he's not arguing it properly. He's trying to say that any vote from morality is supposed to be wrong, but that's not the case. The problem is with votes based upon moral (or more accurately, religious) principles that adversely affects other people who don't share that belief. A law that is passed due to religious ideals that helps people is never going to be wrong... unless it also unduely hurts other people. If the issue is an article of faith that isn't carried by someone else, it would be morally wrong to force that person to do that by the force of law. If, for instance, I had a religion where I thought that nobody should NOT have sex with their dog (I don't, it's just a metaphor), and I tried to pass a law that said that everyone should have to have sex with a dog once a week, that would be morally wrong, not so much because of the sex with a dog thing (which I happen to find rather wrong, anyway), but because I'd be forcing other people to do something they think is wrong. I know that's an extreme example, but that's what legislating an article of faith is. If the other person doesn't share that article, it's wrong to force them to act a certain way. For an article of faith to be legislatable, there should be compelling SOCIAL, CIVIC, or ECONOMIC reasons for it to be passed. Then, if someone doesn't hold the same faith as you, there is still a compelling reason for that person to accept the judgement of the law. It is perfectly fine for your faith to guide what you want to accomplish in the political sphere, but for things to really be political, they have to have good social grounding, rather than just divisive religious ideals. That's what the problem is with legislating faith is, because not everyone has the same faith. In one country, though, everyone is tied together by the social fabric and new laws should be argued from that perspective, and not from a religious one.

Why Pagans should support George W. Bush -- Beliefnet.com
Why Pagans should support George W. Bush -- Beliefnet.com
In my last entry, I said that I couldn't understand how people could be pagans and support Bush, but I seem to have missed one important factor... Glaring Inconsistencies! This article is rife with them. Somehow, the author, who claims to be pagan, glosses over the terrible environmental problems Bush has caused, the poor economy, and human rights violations from Bush's former 4 years of the presidency, and focused on the stump speech/talking points that the right wing media spews out. The author has no problem with innocent Iraqis getting killed, but does have a problem with abortions. I'll tell you, I don't like abortions, but I know they're going to happen, so I'd prefer to have them legal, because it will result in less crime and less death. I don't approve of killing innocent people in Iraq just because a small percentage of people might have anti-american and anti-christian ideals. I'm pretty sure most of the people in the country wouldn't approve of my spiritual ideas, but I think they'd be civil enough to have a live and let live policy about it, as long as I don't try to change them. The author seems to really be holding on to a lot of christian ideals. That's fine, there's a good deal of merit in christianity, but to call upon christian ideals is somewhat less-than-pagan. It can be great for a world-religion point-of-view, or from a general moral point of view to bring up the beliefs of another faith, but that's like using something the Buddha said to support something Jesus said... it's more of an interfaith approach than an argument from that faith's ideals... and some people are bound not to take it so well. It also displayed (not surprisingly) some anti-homosexual ideals. The author claims to not have a problem with gays, but doesn't seem to really believe what she says (I think it's a she...). From my point of view, this seems to be a quite distorted view of paganism. I can admit that often, my views on matters political and moral deviate from the party line of most organizations, but I can't really understand how this person can believe that pagan ideals are the same as conservative ideals... This article has some serious issues.

I gotta say that I agree with everything this article said, and I'm not generally inclined to agree with everything Starhawk has to say, but she has good points, and this is something I tend to agree with. There was an article about why Pagans should vote for Bush, and I'm going to read it, but I can't really imagine why Pagans would ever want to vote for Bush... even if they were rich. I'll probably post it here, with reactions, once I've read it.

No People Names for Pets
PeoplePC - News
Now this is just over-legislating something. Okay, so children might get depressed if they have the same name as someone's pet, but they'll GET OVER IT! This is definitely over the top. If someone wants to give their pet a person's name, that's because the pet is important to them. Assuming the children would get depressed devalues people's pets... which they might care about... and it also really doesn't give children any credit at all... like they couldn't recover from something like that. This is just silly.

This is an article about how Homeland Security agents visited a toy store because they had a generic rubic's cube (on which, supposedly, the copyright has expired), and made the owner take it off the shelves. Now, maybe it's just me, but DOESN'T THE HOMELAND SECURITY DEPARTMENT HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO? I dunno, maybe it's just that someone selling generic rubic's cubes doesn't sound like that much of a threat to national security to me... probably because it doesn't involve, I dunno... BOMBS... This story just shows how much the government's power is abused... particularly since this wasn't addressed to the manufacturer or y'know... through the PATENT OFFICE. Yikes... this is just stupid....

This is a story about an official pardon that's being carried out in a Scottish town for people who were executed as witches centuries ago. I know there are still people who don't really want pardons for some silly reason, but shouldn't this have been done at least decades ago when scholarship figured out that most if not all of the people who were killed were innocent? The story says it came too late by centuries... and in preventing their deaths, this is true, but I think it came too late by decades, because there's really no reason to wait on offical pardons once the evidence is there that the institution was wrong. To me, that's an immediate kind of thing. But, it's at least a good step that this one town is doing the right thing, finally.

I watched the last few, and they were really cool. I'm definitely watching this one... particularly since Megan is going to, as well, so we'll be looking at the same thing at the same time, which is nice. But lunar eclipses are just awesome. They turn the moon red and are just really kinda creepy. Excellent for the week before Halloween, and also just good fun. Wear a coat, though, 'cause it's gonna be cold.

MSNBC - Bush ad uses wolves to imply Kerry weak
There's a couple of problems with this ad. If the Bush people had anything to say about it, I'm sure we wouldn't have wolves... and not just the ones that imply American enemies, wolves themselves. For those of us who feel a connection with wolves, we know that you need environmental programs to keep them around, and Bush certainly doesn't support those. This ad does just the opposite of what it's supposed to do for me. It makes me see more that Bush is a very bad man. He's just like a jerk who goes out and hunts wolves nearly to extinction without considering the impact it might have on the world. Instead of just creating an analogy, it brings other issues to the table that are very much like the issues it tries to address... but in neither case is it beneficial for Bush. Wolves are noble creatures who fulfill an important requirement in nature, and similarly, there are reasons that terrorists attack other people. If we understood what those reasons were, we could control that problem. If we just go out and kill all of them without thinking, we just create more problems. I thought this ad might upset me, because I'm a wolf person, but it turns out to be so ironic and very much on the nose without his realizing it that I almost don't dislike it... as long as people actually think about what they're seeing and doing.

The Bush campaign has hired David Barton who calls the U.S. a 'Christian nation' -- Beliefnet.com
Those of you who know me know how reprehensible I'll find this article, even before reading it. The problem is that this nation has freedom of religion. Therefore, it cannot be a Christian nation. It can't be any religion, officially. If the majority of the nation were pagans, it wouldn't be a pagan nation. Same if the majority were Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, Jewish, Shinto, Confucian, Taoist, or even Satanist. It's just not. While there could be some argument whether groups could use their services to promote one candidate or not, it's just not a good idea, in general. Firstly, most religions don't NEED to do that, because if you're not Christian, you know not to vote for Bush, because he wants you to be. Second, people are GOING to disagree with you. Some will, some won't, it's just unavoidable. And when you express something to your congregation that they disagree with, you've just lost their respect for your judgement... and most likely left a sour taste in their mouth about you as a person, as well. It's simply a better idea to let people make their own decisions, and not to try to force an issue on people when they'd just as soon leave it be.

I looked at this mostly out of idle curiosity and an interest in Japan. But it made me think. With this earthquake right after a typhoon, and the volcanos and hurricanes that have been happening in the U.S., there are all kinds of natural disasters globally speaking, lately. Now, if one were biblically inclined, one might see the apocalypse. As I am not, I tend to see things very much like those described in the book I'm reading right now about the enviromental crisis, which was written nearly 10 years ago, and in which the author predicted things just like this in 5 to 10 years if we didnt' change things. We did a little, but not very much at all, and here we are. Honestly, it's looking kinda grim. One hopes that we can maybe turn some of this around, soon.

This looked interesting. He has a book I've been meaning to read, but haven't had a chance to yet, financially. I've always had a bit of a warrior archetype thing going, but in a positive way. A real warrior seeks to avoid battle, in general. So I've kind of been doing this by default since I became a pagan. So, even if you're not that interested in the topic in general, it might give you better insight into me as a person... assuming you're interested in that, as well. ;-)

This was a very eloquent statement that a friend sent to me by former President Jimmy Carter, a generally maligned man (for no good reason I can think of). I wasn't sure it'd be good, since it's with Chris Matthews, but it turned out quite good. We ought to listen to this man. He has some good ideas laid out. Even just a couple of them would be good. If you're at all interested in the war in Iraq and how to end it, it's worth checking out. Thanks, Animator. :-)

I find this interesting, even if I'm not a Catholic (or even a Christian), just because it seems like a lot of the attacks on Kerry are backfiring, and being that I'd much rather have Kerry than Bush, this is comforting. As somewhat of an anti-establishmentarian, it's good to see that the institutional controls might be failing, as well.

Color of the day: Gray
Incense of the day: Frankincense
At sunrise during a waxing Moon, wash your hair and then rinse it with rosemary (if you have dark hair) or chamomile (if you have red or blond hair). Make a hair rinse by steeping the herb in hot water for five to ten minutes, then straining and cooling the infusion. Get your hair cut before sunset.

MSN Careers - You Can Get a Job With Any Major - Career Advice Article
I'd really like to believe that this is true. My interview kind of supports it... but the job hasn't quite come in, yet. Once it does, maybe I'll believe in it a little better. The guy did have a lot to say about how a business major isn't really useful anymore because so many people take them... but I'm not sure about it. Hopefully, they're right. ;-)

This is a weblog done by Dave Navarro. He's one of my favorite guitarists... a very prime influence, and, as I'm finding out through further exposure to him as a person, he happens to be a great guy... at least from my perspective. Just thought I'd throw this website out there for the people who were interested.

Help Protect Our Endangered Species
The League of Conservation Voters
This is just one of the email things on the last site. It's about making the Endangered Species Act still have weight. It's definitely worth sending out if you have any kind of environmental streak in you because it keeps animals from going extinct, and it's effective at bringing populations back, as recently happened with the bald eagle. Worth checking out.

This site looks like a really good hub of things that I'm actually interested in. I know the war has kind of taken over most domestic and environmental issues for this election, but they're still important to me. This site has lots of new articles, and a feature to send emails to your congress member. It's a good way, I think, to actually get the word out to people that this kind of stuff still matters to some of us.

I doubt the petition will have any real effect, but I signed it, anyway. I do wish they were still making more Invader Zim. It's a hilarious show. It's too bad it didn't really take off, because it's highly enjoyable. I've just spent the last week or so going through and watching the DVDs for it. It's addictive.

This is a webcomic... a yaoi manga that my friend is making. If you're interested in manga, and don't mind some slightly strange things (and if you like manga, how can you mind them?), it's worth checking out. She updates it fairly regularly, so it's often got something new. I'd definitely recommend it.

No matter how hard I try, I can't figure out if this article applies to me or not, but I figure it might help other people I know, and maybe some others. It's very simple advice, and I'm sure I could have used it once, but then again, I also just have this tendency to live that way, anyhow. Anyhow, it's a good article for anyone to check out in this society. It will do one of two things. For the majority of people, it will teach you that there are other things in life than image, and for the small minority, it will reaffirm the ideas you already held. That is, if you take it to heart. I'm sure many if not most people would ignore the advice, but it's good advice, nonetheless, and the more it's emphasized, perhaps the more it will get across to people.

I saw this band on the Curiosa tour earlier this summer, and since she was a bassist in the Smashing Pumpkins towards the end, I gave them a good hearing and bought the CD. I find it exceedingly amusing to see that this article is titled "Don't Follow the Leader," and then it proceeds to tell you how to dress. The problem is that it tells you one person's opinions, and perhaps that person is not a kind of person all readers would like to know let alone respect their opinions. Granted, I only have one of their fashion don'ts, but just from the writing style (which, due to it being like the way the writer talks, comes across as incredibly judgemental), I can tell that I really don't like the writer. This is a problem I have for most commentators on what is hip. Maybe I don't want to be hip. Maybe I'd hate to be hip. Or maybe I just don't want to be one of the people slavishly following the underground taste... which changes so quickly. Say whatever you like, but you can just keep your advice on my account.

This article... well, they're trying. They really don't seem to understand how people view spirituality today. They only brush on what the whole article should have been about at the end, and really don't seem to understand that there are people who are sorely left out by these shows (my mom watches a few of them, so I've seen them). Honestly, I don't actually like any of the shows that are mentioned except two mentioned in passing that really have not much to do with spirituality. Some of the shows really make me retch, because they're really cheesy and send messages that I strongly disagree with. Also, they try to say the shows are inclusive, but they're very much not in many cases... particlarly with the Christian shows. They're not inclusive... they're Christian. If you're not Christian, they don't really give you much. I guess they're non-denominational, but that's not inclusive. Anyhow, I just randomly found this article and decided to have a little rant on it. It was somewhat interesting, though, even though I tended to disagree with it. Still made me think about things.

MSN Careers - Do What You Love and You'll Probably Starve - Career Advice Article
MSN Careers - Do What You Love and You'll Probably Starve - Career Advice Article
Megan sent me this article. She said it was to put a little fire in my day. It certainly did that. This article is almost all the things that are wrong with this country all rolled into one. It tells you not to do what you love, just find some position that you can lie low in and just get money. That, or start a business or support a franchise in something nobody cares about. This might get you money, but if that's all it takes to make you happy, you are a pathetic person. Never mind that starting a business is just as likely to fail as following what you love... if not moreso. Moreover, the author suggest that if you do start a business, make sure you don't innovate. Make sure you keep things exactly how they are right now, because they're just so successful when people aren't supposed to do what they love. This article actually reminded me a lot of the Republican national convention last night, where they stated things that might have had some point, but said that they were irrefutable, and nobody in their right mind would disagree with them. That kind of closed-mindedness and derision of people who hold differring views is detestable. If someone wants to start a janitor franchise or sell some unknown product, I say, more power to them, but I don't think it's good to tell people that it's bad to follow your dream because you might fail, so instead you should start a business, because although most businesses fail, yours won't. It's not only unethical, it's hypocritical. Not everyone wants to be an entrepreneur... and if everyone followed this man's advice, we'd be in trouble. Maybe I'm unamerican for not believing blindly in capitalism, but I don't think that money is the beat-all and end-all of life. That people are unable to follow their dreams doesn't mean that we should all forget about it unless we're "superstars"... it means that there is something fundamentally wrong with our current system... all the more reason to innovate. If we're going to all be entrepreneurs, maybe we should be entrepreneurs in the fields we love. Maybe we should have more independent music labels supporting art instead of capitalism, more environmental groups giving people chances to follow their loves, regional movie production groups, and anything else people can think of to want to devote their lives to. Maybe we need to make it so we can destroy the monolithic structures that keep people from following their dreams so we can actually have something that works out right for people. Oh, but that would make the world a better place, and we can't have that....

The cartoon on the side was pretty funny, too. ;-)

I thought this would be an interesting article, and it could be, but unfortunately, the research is flawed. The linguist posted pictures on Hot or Not with different names... but unfortunately, your name is given if you choose to meet the person, which is on a different screen than where you rate them, so the connection is very weak if present at all. Having posted my pictures different times and gotten vastly different results, it all really just boils down to who is on when, how they feel, and whether they're attracted to you or not. It was some very poor scholarship.

This is bad for two kinds of people... people who like rice, and people who need rice to survive. Luckily, I'm of the former variety, so it won't be quite so bad for me, but it's also worrisome for some of the latter variety... even just out of humanitarian ideas. Hopefully, we can figure out a way to make things work out a bit better.

This is the only site that I found that had the Big O songs... When I finally got them to download completely, though, they sounded weird. Maybe I was just hearing the Japanese version, and it was different or something... or this one was from the OST instead of the show itself... I know that I was hearing more of the song than I'd ever heard before, but even the parts I knew were very different, with more prominent synth parts and more guitar layering... it sounded almost Queen-like. Still, it's the only version I can find, so it'll have to do for now. I figured I'd post it in case someone I know cares to check it out.

This article... is very misleading. While I don't necessarily have anything against modesty, this article is giving people false impressions of what looks good. Hell, maybe some people think that these ideas look good, but I can't believe they would. Maybe it might be hard to find fashions that aren't really short for women, but I don't think it would be that hard... and if you even buy those things, then you're just supporting the ideas, there. This article just struck me as really dumb... dumb enough to comment upon.

This is a whole bunch of keyboard tutorials I'm going to need to check out later on. I found stuff about SoundFont, because on the Nobuo Uematsu site, they have sound fonts for the sounds from the Final Fantasy games. I'd really like to figure out how to make that work... I think I'll need to get those midi cables, though... I think it'd be worth it... if nothing else, I'd have that capablity, and maybe a few more sounds to work with that I'd really like.

This site is great. It's completely dedicated to the work of Nobuo Uematsu, the man who creates all the music for the Final Fantasy games. I finally got to see what he looked like! There's so much infortmation on the site, too. I'm pretty excited about it... he's one of my main influences.

Useful for people who don't know much about anime. Clues you in on some of the slang. I don't use the slang or random Japanese words all that much, but some other people do. It's good stuff to know, and also just fun to know, too.

This is a good site to get Inuyasha MP3s from, and looks rather well designed. It has other shows' songs, and also lots of other content I didn't have time to check out. I figured I'd do that after I finished downloading the ones I know. It's going to be a while. After lots of searching, this one is the best I've found.

In case you hadn't noticed, I spend a decent amount of time, here. This article was kind of interesting, because it hinted at some ideas of themes that transcend religion, but not universality of belief. You'd have to read it to understand what I'm trying to say, but if you do, don't put much stock in what he writes about linguistics... his understanding of linguistics is terrible, but his ideas are interesting.

Another interesting place on historical ideas of the myth of the werewolf. Also has a section on Ulfhednar, and, if you're interested, lots of great photos of wolves which make the site even better than just the information.

This looks like a fun place. I was looking for a place that had more information about ulfhednar (something like a berserker in nordic mythology, but with an affinity to a wolf instead of a bear), because I self-identify as one, but I'm finding very little... particularly in English. This one looks fairly promising, though... even if it's more about Asatru than ulfhednar. Still, it's fun. :-)

CNN.com - Ray Charles dies at 73 - Jun 10, 2004
I saw this the other day, and I was really saddened. I'm not really sure why, because I've never been a really huge Ray Charles fan, but I know that some of my heroes were. You've gotta admit there was some talent, there, and a good deal of adversity overcome when he went blind as a kid. I don't know if I'm just jumping on the bandwagon, or I just always come into things as they're dying, but I feel really moved, now. Maybe I'll have to try to check out some Ray Charles stuff, now... see what I've been missing.

This article has some interesting points. I don't necessarily agree with the part about not caring about one's own religious beliefs, but perhaps the part about not caring about others' has some merit.

If you happen to use ACID or any other loop-based music production software, this is a good place to get free loops every week. Sometimes, they repeat, but lots of times, there are new ones. I have quite a collection just from downloading whenever I could for the past year or so. I mostly use them for drums and ear candy, and record my bass, guitars, and vocals, but whatever you use them for is cool.

A really great place to visit if you're like me and are interested in the diversity of human religious belief. I personally enjoy the pagan, taoist, confucian, shinto, shamanism, and various cultural mythologies, but whatever catches your fancy works. The best part is the texts are all public domain, so they're free. Very nice.

This site was really interesting, and it must cost a bunch to make this jewelry... unless the crafter goes through guitar and bass strings like crazy. It was a really fun idea, so I've been saving the ball ends from my strings to make a necklace, as well. I might need to change brands, though, because most of my ends are copper. Anyhow, pretty cool, if you're a guitarist.

The Band Register
Extremely useful if you happen to have a band and are trying to think up a name. It can get very disheartening, though, because just about anything you'd think of that you'd actually use for a band is taken. My old band and I spent hours on here trying to find something nobody had. It never really panned out. All the ideas I've had since then haven't worked, either. My last favorite one got shot down, recently, but I haven't given up hope. If Shaman King has taught me one thing, it's to not give up the fight... ;-)

I know, this one's old, but I still enjoy it... as long as you don't get into the guy's personal opinion section, wherein he's kind of a close-minded jerk. If you just stick to the main ninja section, it's quite enjoyable... albeit in a sort of sophomoric sort of way. Worth checking out at least once.

This is a sweet site about turning the different Final Fantasy roleplaying video games into a tabletop RPG for us old-schoolers. It's quite well thought-out, and the rules are extensive (I downloaded the eBook, which was 250+pages or so). It's something I'd really like to try out, sometime.

This is a cool site if you're a pagan (especially a gothic one)and feel like reading about interesting spiritual stuff for free. There are lots of interesting articles about the darker side of paganism that's usually neglected. It's not about bad things, but about good things that are misunderstood. Very interesting, and lots of content. Right up my alley.

This place is great. It's roleplaying game eBooks, and every week, they offer a book or two for free. The ones you pay for are really cheap, too. I've gotten so much cool stuff, it's like a gamer's dream. Seriously, check it out, if you're a gamer at all.

I'm an adult swim fanatic. I watch mostly just the anime, though, so during the week and on Saturdays is when I watch, primarily. I also go for Family Guy and Futurama, but most of their domestically produced shows are awful. I absolutely despise Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and the ones that I just dislike aren't worth watching, either. I'm glad that they moved most of them to Sunday night, but now they have ATHF on every night, and it's awful. I change the station just so I don't support that show. I usually end up watching blind date or something I don't care about and reading something, only to come back in a half hour. But for all the anime it's introduced me to for free, I still like adult swim. I particularly enjoy Inuyasha, Trigun, Wolf's Rain and FLCL. I also liked Blue Gender, Cowboy Bebop (used to like it more, but they show it too much), Case Closed, Big O, and Witch Hunter Robin. It's worth it for those good shows.

This is one of my favorite TV shows. It's cool to like Saturday morning cartoons again. I just wish this one weren't on so early! I just tape it, now. I started on it just reading the manga, which was awesome. I was kind of disappointed in the show at first, because it was all about shaman fights, but then I realised it was just way further than I was in the manga. They changed a bunch of the names, but the show is still really fun. I used to hate the theme song, but, like the Big O one, it grew on me, and now I end up singing it all the time. Megan and I do it to feel close while we're apart. It's definitely good for us, but it's also just a fun show.

I've been reading this one for ages, but it's still a favorite. This one is less for my friends (they mostly all read it or at least know about it), but more for random passers-by. If you have ever played final fantasy, and you like comic strips, this one's great. I've read through all of it, and even all the old advice columns they added in later. I'm still trying to get Megan to check it out, though... :-D

My favorite author
Welcome to the Official Konstantinos Site v.5.0
I always used to never have a favorite author whenever people would ask, but I found one last year or so. He's a pagan author, but also a goth, and he's a musician. He's so much like me, it's really cool... except he's Greek, but that's alright. His writing is very readable and compelling, and he's less of a traditionalist than most. It really appeals to me.
I just wish I could join his band... ;-)

I found this story while browsing beliefnet, and it seemed interesting. I think it could have used some more content or comment, though. Perhaps, it could have used some suggestion for ways to make new songs, or some songs that were already written, but still, it's nice to see the issue addressed.
