This looked like a fairly interesting site. I'm kind of in a hurry, so I haven't been able to do much more than check out the front page, but it looks to be fillled with information. I'm sure some of it, I already know, because I tend to keep fairly plugged in about that sort of thing, but I'll bet there's a bunch I wouldn't know, and if you're interested in songwriting, but not terribly in the know about it, yet, this looks to be a good place to start. I actually found this page through a contest page, but it looks like something I'll keep checking out down the road.
